My nursing career in 1980 at the Adelaide Children's Hospital, now the Women's and Children's Hospital and I have worked in both the public and private health sectors.
My passion to support children during their hospital stay with the view to early intervention lead to my move into child and family health nursing where I spent most of my professional life as a clinician working with families in the community as a CaFH nurse.
My post graduate studies in child and family health and eduction have supported my development and transition from Clinical Nurse and Preceptor through to Clinical Practice Consultant and into the field of nursing education. I have been in a designated teaching role since 2012 that has encompassed the university and registered training organization sectors and teaching at Flinders University on a fulltime basis since 2014.
