Lyn Byers has worked for many years across remote communities in Central Australia as a Remote Area Nurse and Midwife before joining the Centre for Remote Health. She is a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of remote health. She has also has worked as a senior clinician and manager in remote mental health nursing. Her honours degree focused on child rearing practices in the remote Aboriginal context. She is currently topic coordinator for the Remote Health Program, Nursing, at the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs. Lyn is particularly interested in primary health care and best practice in remote areas.
