Melissa has more than 15 years’ experience working in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement roles in a range of organisations, both in Australia and overseas. Melissa joined Flinders University in 2018 as Senior Advisor Student Experience, in the Student Experience team and took on the role of Acting Manager Student Experience in 2020 (parental leave cover). In March 2021, Melissa moved to the role of Manager, Student Learning Support as part of the Student Learning Support Service team.

Melissa has also been the Product Owner for the Compass Program since March 2020.

Currently undertaking a Master of Leadership in Service Innovation (expected completion 2024).

Key responsibilities

As Manager Student Learning Support, Melissa works with staff and students to develop and implement tailored solutions to help students achieve academic success at Flinders.

Melissa is also the Product Owner for the Compass Program, providing leadership and direction for the project and ensuring it's developed and implemented in partnership with Flinders' students and staff.
