Michael joined Flinders Law in February 2017. Michael teaches in the undergraduate law and legal practice degree and the postgraduate JD. Michael also teaches introductory law to business and commerce students.
Prior to joining Flinders Law, Michael gained broad experience in teaching at Bond University and Griffith University while still working as a solicitor in private practice. Michael’s legal work experience covers a range of practice areas with an overall focus on business and property law. He has worked in a number of legal practice settings including: a top-tier national firm; a small commercial firm; and as a sole practitioner. Michael has also supervised law students in a live-client clinic based in a Community Legal Centre.
Michael completed his PhD at Griffith University. His doctoral thesis developed a conceptual understanding of supervision in legal practice with a focus on the experience of newly admitted lawyers. This thesis combined Michael's key research interests of legal education, legal practice and the legal profession.
