As an undergraduate, Nathan was interested in the overlap between chemistry and physics, an interested that rapidly led him to nanotechnology, an area he pursued during Honours. During his degree, Nathan also developed a love for talking about science, and sharing his passion with scientists and non-scientists alike.

Having previously worked in the STEM Communication and Outreach team at Flinders University, Nathan has experience communicating scientific ideas to a range of audiences. After spending three years engaging with high school students, teachers, and the broader public, he now works in the Flinders Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology. Pursuing his joy for communicating science, Nathan now focusses on spreading the Institute's reasearch to the broader community.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Flinders University

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and project management support for the research activities of the Flinders Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology. This includes the day to day delivery of communications content (web, social media, and print), delivery of events, and technical writing.
