I have worked in the Eye Clinics of the Games Village Medical Centres at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. I was the Director of Eye Services within the Games Village Polyclinic for both the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. I have separately been accredited and travelled with the Medical Staff of the 1998 and 2006 Tours de France cycling events.

I have been an accredited Aviation Eye Examiner with CASA from 1994 for aviation pilot licencing.

Key responsibilities

I run Post-Stroke and Post-Acquired Brain Injury Ophthalmic Assessment Clinics involved in rehabilitation care of clients from both Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and Flinders Rehabilitation Unit at Flinders Medical Centre.
Within Flinders Vision we provide optometric care for many people involved in numerous sporting disciplines, from cycling and volleyball through to the shooting and archery sports.
I am one of two Aviation Credentialed Examiners for CASA within Flinders Vision.

Teaching interests

I present Neuro-Optometry and the Effects on Vision of Acquired Brain Injury for the 4th Year Optometry Masters students,

Occupational Optometry and Sports Optometry modules for the 5th Year Optometry Masters students.
