Nicola joined the Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing as Business Development Manager in March 2014 to facilitate the funding and expansion of the Centre's activities. Prior to this, Nicola worked in a similar role within the University at Optometry and Vision Science where she developed a business plan and managed the final stages of construction, fit-out and operational matters including staff recruitment and equipment procurement for the opening of a new campus-based Optometry Clinic.
Nicola has over 25 years of senior management experience in business and marketing across a range of organisational environments including public, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors. This includes six years as Deputy Director of the Research, Audit and Academic Surgery Division of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Since joining the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing, Nicola has been actively involved in broadening the Centre's grant funding base. She administers the line management, recruitment, budgets, contractual negotiations and reporting obligations for new and continuing research projects.
