Her primary area of research is in Second Language Acquisition. In particular, the study of the psycholinguistic and sociological variables that play a role in Second Language Learning. Her interests in this field also include a focus on the use of technology to enhance second language teaching and learning and the effect of affective variables. Another area of her research interests relates to Discourse Analysis, and translation theory and practice.
