Pam is a lecturer in the School of Education. She works with undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Education program, and with postgraduate students including doctoral students. Her interests in education are focused on socially just educational outcomes for all students, in particular the challenges for rural and remote students. Her other principal research focus is literacy education. She is involved in national and international bodies with a research focus on rural issues.

Pam and her husband own a farming property in the Mid-North of South Australia. Pam has been involved in natural resource management for many years, initially in soil conservation, and later in water resource management in her local rural community. In these roles she has been particularly interested in links between natural resource management and education, and education for future sustainability of rural communities.
