My 20 odd years of work life has been partially in the sphere of building design and architecture as a practitioner, researcher and academic; and partially in the IT industry as a Business Analyst / Project Manager. This interesting journey has given me a very unique set of multidisciplinary exposure and skills. In my initial years, I practiced in the building design industry for 5 years as an architect / interior designer. After returning to India with a Master’s degree in Architectural Computing from UNSW Sydney, I worked for Microsoft Corporation for 6 years on two of their biggest digital projects for India. While it was the most exhilarating, fast paced and a very rewarding phase of my work life, I decided to slow down after my second child was born. After a short maternity break, I soon returned to the workforce and worked the next 6 years as a sessional academic: running design studios and workshops for architecture students in India, UK and Australia.
