Key responsibilities

Currently Dr Versace is an Associate Investigator (Trial Statistician) on two NHMRC-funded projects:

  1. NHMRC Melbourne Diabetes Prevention Study (MDPS), and
  2. NHMRC Partnership Project Mothers After Gestational Diabetes (MAGDA).

By applying a multidisciplinary approach that uses tools such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and a variety of statistical analyses Dr Versace well-positioned to answer a host of applied research questions that are relevant to rural and regional Australia. He has contributed to research projects ranging from fisheries science, marine ecology, species distribution modelling, strategic and statutory land use planning, and public health.

Teaching interests

Dr Versace's teaching interests include statistics (biostatistics, environmental, and business), natural resource management, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
