Associate Professor Joe Jiang joined the College of Business, Government and Law in October 2019. He earned a PhD (October 2014) from Macquarie University, Australia; an MBA from Yeungnam University, South Korea; and a Bachelor in Bioengineering from Northwest A & F University, China. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Applied Psychology: An International Review (ABDC, A), is on the editorial boards of Journal of Organizational Behavior (ABDC, A*), Journal of Vocational Behavior (ABDC, A*), and Human Resource Management Journal (ABDC, A) and Co-Chairs the Organizational Behavior Stream at Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM). He has served as a leading editor for journal special issues "Career Reestablishment of Refugees" (International Migration) and "Vocational Experiences and Quality of Life of Migrants" (Social Indicators Research).
Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer at Deakin University where he also occupied the positions of MBA (International) Director, Executive MBA (International) Director, and Deputy Director of China Business Research Center. Prior to that he was Lecturer in Management in Griffith and Central Queensland Universities.
Joe received the ANZAM Early Career Researcher Award (2016), and the ANZAM Best Paper Award of the Gender, Diversity, and Indigeneity Stream (2015) for a paper focussed on LGB individuals' work-related wellbeing.
Joe has published 36 peer-reviewed journal articles with 32 in A/A*/Q1 journals on the ABDC list/WoS/Scimago, including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Resource Management Journal, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Personnel Review, and Personality and Individual Differences to name a few. His work has also been featured in the Havard Business Review, and cited in media such as Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and Brisbane Times.
