Opening Date: 24-05-2019
Closing Date: 14-06-2019
The College of Medicine and Public Health has established Honours Scholarships to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students undertaking an honours research project within the College.
The scholarship is available for the normal duration of the honours year/fourth year program (one year full-time or two years part-time). A full-time student will receive payment in two instalments, one at the beginning of each semester.
A part-time student will receive a pro-rata payment at the beginning of each semester. Payments will be made subject to satisfactory progress. Scholarship payments will be withdrawn if the scholarship holder withdraws or is precluded from the course, and will not be available for a repeat year of study. Students may not hold any other Honours scholarship concurrently with a College of Medicine and Public Health Honours Scholarship.
Source of Funds
The scholarships are funded by the College of Medicine and Public Health.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as measured by the Grade Point Average (GPA) for the most recent 36 units of study at third year level (80%), as well as future aspirations, other academic achievements, summary of leadership skills, involvement in community or sporting activities or any other personal development opportunities (20%).
Selection will be made by a Committee comprising the Honours Coordinators (or two designated representatives from the Honours committee) and the Teaching Program Director (Developing Researchers) in the College of Medicine and Public Health.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date.
Please read the how to apply page and ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System as you will be assessed using this information.
