Flinders University :Aurora Women in STEM Scholarship for Commencing Students

Purpose
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to outstanding women who are commencing the first year Bachelor of Science (Physics) or Bachelor of Science (Physics) combined degrees.
Source of funds
The scholarship has been established as a result of a generous donation from Associate Professor Maria Parappilly OAM.
Benefits
There will be one scholarship of $1,000 awarded each year whilst funding is available. Payment will be made in two instalments after the census date of each semester.
Eligibility
The scholarship recipient will be commencing the first year of the Bachelor of Science (Physics) or Bachelor of Science (Physics) combined degrees at Flinders University.
Selection
The scholarship will be awarded to the commencing female student with the highest ATAR score. If there is more than one student sharing the highest ATAR, results in specific school subjects will be taken into consideration.
Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved procedures.
Leave
Leave will be permitted for the second semester of this scholarship, for a maximum of one semester only.
Applications
An application for the course will constitute an application for the scholarship.
