Flinders University :Flinders University Student Impact Scholarship

Through the kind generosity of alumni and friends who have made a donation to the Scholarship Fund, Flinders University has established the Student Impact Scholarships for continuing coursework students requiring financial assistance.


Each scholarship will have a value of $5,000 per annum paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester.

The tenure is 1 year, or equivalent part-time duration. The scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments, after the census date of each semester. 
Leave will be permitted for the second semester of this scholarship, for a maximum of one semester only.



All Scholarship applicants must:

  • be Australian citizens, permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders ; and
  • have completed at least 36 units of study at Flinders University; and
  • be continuing coursework studies at Flinders University; and
  • normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University; and
  • be eligible for, or in receipt of, a Commonwealth Income Support payment, or;
  • be able to demonstrate financial hardship.
Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata for a maximum of 2 years.



Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application. The application form for this scholarship is called " Flinders University Student Impact Scholarships", or you can search for it by the keyword "impact". Please read the how to apply page and ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System as you will be assessed using this information.
The following documentation  will be required as part of the application process:
  • Applicants who are in receipt of a Commonwealth Income Support payment will need to demonstrate evidence of this. This can be done by uploading a recent Centrelink (or DVA) Income Statement which shows you are currently in receipts of government means tested benefits.   • Applicants who are not in receipt of a Commonwealth Income Support payment as described above will need to complete the Financial Hardship Form which is downloadable below.
