Flinders University :Sophia Fund Indigenous Bursaries

DESCRIPTION

A generous donation from the Sophia Fund, has enabled the establishment of the Sophia Fund Indigenous Bursaries.  They have been established to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to undertake a higher education course.

BENEFITS

Subject to the availability of funds, two bursaries will be awarded annually and will be valued at $500 each.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants for these bursaries must:

  • be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
  • identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
  • be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which he or she lives or has lived; and
  • be in their first year of higher education study and
  • be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate course of study at Flinders University.


APPLICATIONS

Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student Information System. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application. The application form for this scholarship is called “Indigenous Scholarships”, or you can search for it by the keyword "Indigenous". You will be considered for multiple scholarships if you complete this application. Please read the how to apply page and ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in Student Two before applying as you will be assessed using the information in the Student System, including ATSI status, home and semester address, citizenship etc.
