DESCRIPTION

The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) delivers, through research and development, innovation to enhance the food, fibre and bioscience industries and living environmental systems. SARDI is a division of Primary Industry and Regions SA (PIRSA).

In line with the PIRSA Reconciliation Action Plan, SARDI promotes opportunities which support Aboriginal people with their aspirations of sustainable solutions within primary industries, and invests in future workforces by supporting tertiary-level students through the establishment of a bursary for Aboriginal students.

BENEFITS

The SARDI Science Bursary for Aboriginal Students provides $1500 to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander graduate to undertake post-graduate study in science at a tertiary institution in South Australia.

ELIGIBILITY

Applications are invited from honours graduates currently undertaking or wishing to undertake post-graduate studies in agriculture, fisheries or forestry science.

Applicants must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and their application will be considered on the merit of their research program and how it directly relates to the research undertaken within SARDI.
