The Northrop Grumman Scholarship was established in 2018. The scholarship recognises and supports students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Information Technology (Games Development), or the Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) or the Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) (Honours), and to encourage the recipients to consider a career in Defence.
Source of funds
The scholarship has been established through the generous support of Northrop Grumman. The number of scholarships available will be subject to the ongoing support of the sponsor.
Each scholarship will have a value of $5,000 paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Part-time scholarships will be paid-pro rata.
The tenure is for one year subject to meeting ongoing eligibility criteria. If the recipient fails to meet ongoing eligibility criteria, the scholarship will be ceased.
Leave will be permitted for the second semester of this scholarship, for a maximum of one semester only.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date.
The scholarship will be advertised on the University website and other appropriate media as determined by Flinders University.
