Communication strategies between students and supervisors

Course description

Through this flipped seminar, Professor Tara Brabazon, Dr Amy Seymour-Walsh and HDR students Grace Chipperfield and Sophie Schumacher address creating positive, supportive, enriching and enlivening communication strategies between HDR students and supervisors. They discuss how to manage those 'difficult conversations,' how to understand expectations and assumptions, working with email and social media. Grace and Sophie are the postgraduate representatives at Flinders and Dr Amy Seymour-Walsh recently completed her PhD. Their advice is powerful and important for new and established HDR students and supervisors.
