Who should attend

This workshop sequence (or the lab-based equivalent) is essential for anyone who expects to use the web Content Management System (CMS) to maintain web content, pages or sites, or to manage the publication process. Those who expect to approve changes made by others, or to create new pages, will need to attend Publishing workshops (ie, CMS 2: Publishing, or the online equivalent).

For staff who expect to have only an Editor role (i.e. to make changes to existing content, approved by others), it should be sufficient.

What you will learn

  • Going from browsing a page to editing it in the CMS
  • Making simple changes to a page (text, hyperlinks, images)
  • Offering changes up for publishers to approve
  • Getting help with the CMS.

Prerequisites / assumed knowledge

You must have completed the self-study sequence "CMS Overview".

You must ensure that you can access and use FLOLive (please refer to http://www.flinders.edu.au/flolive).
