Flinders Business Analytics - User Workshop

Course description

Flinders Business Analytics - User Workshop

The User Workshops offer staff the opportunity to participate in a short structured exercise which focuses on one aspect of using the Flinders Business Analytics environment. This is followed by a Q&A session in which Planning Services staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about navigating and using Flinders Business Analytics. It is anticipated the session will take around one hour, although additional time is available for individual questions.

The following session is currently scheduled:

Monday 21st May (2pm) and Wednesday 23rd May (2pm) - Pivot tables workshop.  Pivot tables in FBA provide data on student enrolments and load, as well as staff. This workshop will focus on using the pivot tables available through FBA - where to find them, what is in them and how to manipulate them to access the data you need.

Thursday 14th June (10.30am) and Friday 15th June (2pm) Viewer Basics - attrition and retention. A wide variety of reports are available in FBA. This workshop will focus on how to find reports on attrition and retention, how to interpret them, how to manipulate them to look the way you want, and how to export them. A great workshop for both staff who are new to FBA, and for those who want a refresher.

Wednesday 25th July (10.30am) - Student Evaluation of Teaching. A wide variety of reports are available in FBA. This workshop will focus on how to find reports on the Student Evaluaton of Teaching (SET), how to interpret them, how to manipulate them to look the way you want, and how to export them. A great workshop for both staff who are new to FBA, and for those who want a refresher.

Tuesday 11th September (2pm) - Dashboards workshop. All university staff have access to a number of dashboards in FBA, which bring together data on an area of interest. This workshop will focus on dashboards - how to access them, how to manipulate the reports and data in them, and how to download.A great workshop for both staff who are new to FBA, and for those who want a refresher.

Tuesday 6th November (10.30am) Viewer Basics - focus on applications. A wide variety of reports are available in FBA. This workshop will focus on how to find reports on applications through SATAC and direct entry, how to manipulate them to look the way you want, and how to export them. A great workshop for both staff who are new to FBA, and for those who want a refresher.
