Ally Training Session
The workshop aims to raise participants' awareness of the life experience, issues and needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, queer or questioning staff and students with a particular focus on campus and work/study experiences. Participants who complete training may elect to become part of the Ally Network.

Who should attend
Ally training is open to any staff member or student who wishes to better understand the issues and needs of sexually diverse staff and students - and who is willing to consider becoming an Ally (and to act as a contact point for staff or students in relation to sexually diverse issues).
What you will learn
By participating in this workshop you will:
- develop a better understanding of sexually diverse people, issues and culture
- reflect upon your own behaviour, sensitivities and understanding in relation to sexually diverse persons
- explore the process of becoming an Ally
- become familiar with the practical issues concerning the Ally Network and how it works and the role of an Ally
