Topic description

In this topic students will build on and refine individual artistic skills by working to specific project briefs. Feedback cycles will be used to improve skills and knowledge in a practical context.

Educational aims

This topic aims to allow students to:

  • Gain confidence working as an individual designer
  • Gain experience in a range of design production tools
  • Create images within a larger cultural and historical context
  • Create spaces for interaction with current design theory and analysis
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  1. Experiment with a series of different digital tools and techniques
  2. Explore how to imbue visual language into specified images
