Building on the skills acquired in DRAP3110 Performance Techniques A, students continue classes in music repertoire, movement and acting for screen. In addition, the topic introduces classes in comedy and post-modern performance.

This topic aims to:

• Consolidate students' skills necessary for eventual employment as actors and directors in the theatre, television, and film industries
• Encourage all students to work as both interpretive and conceptual artists
• Introduce areas of increasing importance in Australian live performance: post-modern performance techniques, inter-cultural performance, and the interface between live performance and multimedia

1. Have formed a deeper understanding of performance and directing techniques as they are currently employed within the theatre, television, and film industries
2. Demonstrate the developed vocal, physical, emotional, and interpretive skills required by professional actors
3. Demonstrate advanced skills in acting techniques required for performance in a variety of theatrical and screen genres
4. Demonstrate the ability to analyse movement, manipulate expressive qualities, and perform with physical accuracy and clarity
5. Demonstrate further developed skills required for voice-over in radio and television
6. Demonstrate advanced vocal skills necessary for radio and television character based performance
7. Demonstrate an understanding of recent developments in the music theatre repertoire
