This topic is designed to develop students' knowledge of the requirements of the professional public health workplace to enable and support their transition for early career development. Students will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge and skills learnt during the Bachelor of Public Health into practice, understand the requirements of a professional workplace and enhance their employment opportunities. Students will be provided with a range of personal and professionals skills such as project planning, communications in the workplace, working in teams and with partners, and develop and maintain a professional portfolio for work readiness.
This topic aims to assist students identify the requirements of public health professional practice in the workplace and support their transition for early career development. It provides students the opportunity to put their theoretical learning in public health into practice, understand the requirements of a professional workplace and prepare them for work-readiness. This topic will enable students to critically apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course and translate them to work-readiness.
