Topic description
This topic prepares students for the Practicum with information on: placement procedures and expectations; CV preparation; interview preparation; past student experiences; employer advice; career planning and self awareness; communication; work health and safety; employee contracts; industrial relations; intellectual property; and employment trends.
Educational aims
This topic aims to prepare students for their work placement.
Expected learning outcomes
At the completion of this topic, students are expected to be able to:
- Prepare their own CV with competence for placement application
- Attend job interview for placement application in an appropriate manner with skill
- Commence work placement with basic knowledge of work health and safety, intellectual property, and other preparation information for placement
