Topic description
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- Provide an opportunity for students, as beginning professional, to self-assess and plan a project or experience that will further their personal development as a teaching professional
- Allow students to develop knowledge, skill or experience in an area of personal interest that will be of value to them in their chosen profession of teaching, and
- Support students in learning how to plan and carry out a project with appropriate aims, methodology and assessment
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
- Identify an area of need in your development as a teaching professional
- Plan a project that will address this need by elucidating the aims, methodology for and assessment of your learning
- Present a report on your project using a format that has been agreed upon with the topic coordinator
