This topic brings a lifecourse perspective to the nexus between studies in human social development, social policy and social work practice in mental health and illness. Students will explore a conceptual and analytical approach to the evidence regarding the patterning of individual lives over time and the processes by which lives are changed by diverse environments. Students will link this understanding to social work practice in mental health.
