This topic presents methods with reference to research paradigms and contemporary and historical, social and political contexts. It encourages students to critically engage with the practical, ethical and theoretical implications of a range of established and emergent qualitative and quantitative methods, and to think creatively about the possibilities of those methods and data generated for their own research.
This topic aims to strengthen students' theoretical understanding and practical application of research paradigms and methods, to build their ability to undertake rigorous and creative research.
