Topic description
The purpose of this topic is to build on students’ knowledge and skills by allowing them to pursue a small number of psychological questions at some depth, using a variety of information sources, and in collaboration with other members of a team. Students will engage in posing and answering questions, analysing problems, generating solutions, and working in groups.
Educational aims
The aims are to:

  • Allow students to explore topics of their own choosing in depth

  • Provide experience at finding and distilling information from a variety of academic and informal sources

  • Provide the opportunity to apply key psychological concepts to analysing and solving problems

  • Equip students with skills for effective online communication

  • Provide experience at collaborative group work.
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic, students wil be expected to be able to:
