Topic description
Students will negotiate a production or research project with a member of staff who will supervise that project. The assessment format to be decided by negotiation between the supervisor and the student.Contact hours will vary depending on the choice of project.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- allow students to display advanced research and/or production skills
- allow students to further develop their understanding of the screen production industry
- provide students with opportunities to explore new areas of the study of screen and media production
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will have:
- further developed skills in a range of research activities
- the ability to communicate research and/or production skills and knowledge via written communication/assessment
- advanced written communication or production skills
- the skills to identify key issues in a specialised area of research and/or production
- an extended understanding of screen and media theory and production
