Topic description
In this topic students will develop essential practice skills in the area of child and family health in the community setting. They will also explore contemporary constructs for their professional role.
Educational aims
This topic aims to develop knowledge and skills that can be applied to the clinical context.
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to able to:
- Reflect on and critique their own practice for professional roles in child and family health
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a range of child health assessments
- Appropriately utilise Ages and Stages Questionnaire: Social-emotional health (ASQ/SE) assessments to demonstrate application of theory to practice in the assessment of children’s health and development
