Topic description

In this topic students will continue to work closely with industry mentors within their creative teams to showcase their production and post-production skills in the finalisation of their SCME9305A/B Major Production Project.

Educational aims

This topic aims to:

  • Provide students with advanced applied skills, and technical and theoretical knowledge to meet current market demands
  • Provide students with the knowledge and experience to be at the forefront of the visual development process, leading to the creation of new media products and new conceptual approaches
  • Develop students' ability to seek, review and analyse critically feedback from industry professionals with the aim of improving their professional practice
  • Provide students with high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally and successfully in a creative team with clients and colleagues
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply information, theories, complex ideas and feedback in relation to your creative and/or technical practice
  2. Demonstrate mastery of a range of creative and/or technical skills and the ability to apply these skills to the creation of new media products and new conceptual approaches
  3. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, analyse and reflect critically on your own practice with a view to continuous improvement
  4. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of and an advanced skills in the use of relevant industry software and hardware used in the digital production pipeline
