This topic is to allow a visiting scholar in international law or international relations to offer a specialised topic in a current issue in international law or international relations.

Educational aims

This topic aims to:

  • Develop a broader understanding of a current issue in international law or international relations
  • Allow an in depth study of a topic that is in the specific research expertise of the lecturer
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  1. Describe and provide an analytical overview of the philosophical and legal bases the specific issue in international law and international relations
  2. Describe and apply academic literature relevant to this issue
  3. Offer a critique of the concepts contained within this issue
