This topic will provide students with an introduction and beginning understanding of the social determinants of health and how these influence primary health care and health promotion strategies - locally, nationally and globally with a focus on the National Health Priorities, utilising the Fundamentals of Care model of Nursing.
This topic aims to develop students' understanding of the role of the nurse in providing fundamental care for clients in the community. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the nurse's role in caring for people while considering regional, national and global health priorities utilizing fundamental nursing care in the context of primary healthcare.
