Topic description

This topic provides an introduction to public health for undergraduate students. It will require students to understand concepts that underpin public health including the social determinants of health and health equity. In undertaking this topic, students will demonstrate skills that are vital to practically relevant public health practice, including critical analysis and reflexivity, and understand how public health evidence is obtained and interpreted. Students will be exposed to and have the opportunity to discuss contemporary issues in public health.
