Topic description

This topic assists students to develop a global outlook on business and other management. The focus is on managerial responses to complex cultural, political, economic, competitive and other contextual forces firms encounter when they engage in international business activities. The content includes aspects of organisational design, strategic planning, negotiation, and human resources management for firms involved in international business.

This topic aims to provide students with the ability to:

  • Identify and analyse the distinctive features of international management roles
  • Examine the internal and external influences on management of international organisations
