Topic description
In this topic students consider issues relating to Italian history, culture and society as illustrated in a selection of authentic written, aural and/or visual texts.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- Introduce students to past and contemporary cultural and societal issues
- Introduce students to basic textual analysis
- Enhance communicative competence through participation in activities involving group or pair interaction
- Expose students to independent and collaborative learning and to language learning skill development
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
- Communicate in speech and writing on a range of topics related to Italian history, culture and society
- Read, discuss and critique a variety of authentic texts
