Topic description

In this topic students will research specific roles within the production and design industries, while locating their work within this larger context. Practical exercises and portfolio work will demonstrate their expertise and suitability for entry level roles in a range of digital media industries.

Educational aims

This topic aims to:

  • Facilitate work on an industry level portfolio
  • Introduce students to specific industry level work flows and pipelines
  • Further refine practical and technical skills
  • Introduce students to industry knowledge and practices

  1. Create work for a professional portfolio
  2. Describe work with industry specific terminology
  3. Explore production pipelines and individual roles within them
