Topic description
The topic introduces students to the drivers for research, developing a research question andidentifying research paradigms. The topic also engages the student in self-reflection and projectmanagement for research completion.
Educational aims
This topic aims to introduce the student to research constructs including drivers for research, project management, self-reflection in preparation for research and thesis production.
Expected learning outcomes
On successful completion of this topic students will be able to:
- Identify and analyse evidence that drives the research process.
- Use reflective skills to critique learning styles and writing skills.
- Outline strategies for managing and constructing a thesis.
- Present a coherent academic argument to justify a research question.
