Topic description
Innovating is a means of organisational and personal renewal that provides for contextually responsive shifts. This topic explores the ways we might grow and shape the innovative endeavours of educational communities. How we understand innovating, the ways we might promote it and the various organisational implications are central to this topic.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • explore understandings of innovation as a process and the ways it takes form in organisations

  • facilitate evaluations of the ways leaders and communities might draw on their strengths to engage more with processes of innovation
Expected learning outcomes
On completing this topic students will be able to:

  • initiate processes and strategies that are likely to develop high engagement and innovation in a relevant project

  • evaluate their role in leading processes for innovating within their organisation.
