Welcome

Flinders University provides on-campus health, counselling and disability services.

This site provides information about how to access our services, self-help information and links to other useful sites.

We provide confidential, professional services that are available to all students, including people with a disability and those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or transsexual. We are inclusive of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Our staff also makes a significant contribution to the University's orientation and transition programs. For advice and information see the Start Smart pages for new students (which includes special information for rural and interstate students) and the Get Connected site for first year students.

Gardasil Vaccine

The HPV vaccine will be available free from the Flinders University Health Service only until 30th June 2009. The Government funding finishes on this date.

Females aged 18 to 26 years are eligible to receive the free vaccine with the first dose given before the woman reaches age 27 years.

The full course of 3 doses must be completed before the end of June 2009. This means that the first dose must be given prior to the end of December 2008 to enable the 3 doses to be administered within the recommended time frame of 6 months. If the course is not completed before 30 June 2009, then the cost of the vaccine will be the responsibility of the patient after this date. The approximate cost is $150.00 per dose.
