Academic, with a long history in researching the nervous system, particularly in the study of neuronal growth factors and their function in the development and maintenance of brain function. In excess of 160 publications in leading journals including Nature, J Neuroscience, Europ J Neuroscience, National Academy of Sciences, proceedings.
Recently identified as a Top Scholar, placed in the Top Lifetime 0.5% of all scholars by Stanford University's ScholarGPS rankings.

Founding member of staff developing Medical School at Flinders University. Staff member from 1974 to present. Teaching primarily focused on Human Physiology and Neuroscience.
Currently Managing Director Biosensis Pty Ltd and Neubody Pty Ltd. Both Life Science companies focused on bringing new technologies, products and drugs to support worldwide researchers in the neurosciences and patients in neurology and pschiatry.
