Prior to my appointment as Senior Lecturer in Medical Biochemistry at Flinders University, I completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Wollongong and the University of Cambridge, UK. My research attempts to elucidate the relationship between protein misfolding and inflammation which are characteristics that are shared by a very large number of debilitating disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, atherosclerosis, pre-eclampsia and arthritis.
