The purpose of the scholarship is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in undergraduate studies in engineering at Flinders University. One scholarship will be available initially.
The scholarship is funded by BAE Systems Australia, which is dedicated to building diversity in Australia’s engineering workforce.
Eligibility
Recipients of the scholarship must:
* Recipients who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g. disabilities, illness, or carer responsibilities) may apply to hold their scholarship part-time subject to the provision of satisfactory independent documentation.
Eligible degrees listed below; Preference may be given to first year students.
Selection Criteria
The Scholarship selection will be made based on academic merit and demonstrated interest in a career in the engineering or defence industries.
Preference may be given to students in their first year of study.
Selection of the candidate(s) will be made by the College of Science and Engineering in consultation with the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement and Student Finance and Scholarships following procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.
