Drama major in the Bachelor of Arts or equivalent

Students undertake an individual program of study on a topic in Drama. Students design their program of study in consultation with a supervisor. Suitable topics will provide scope for students: to develop in-depth knowledge about an aspect of Drama; to acquire relevant analytical, critical and research skills; and to demonstrate their learning in a scholarly form. Students meet regularly with their supervisor to report on the progress of their study and seek feedback on their work.

This topic aims to:

• enable students to develop in-depth knowledge on a topic in Drama

• enable students to explore relevant theories, methodologies and debates in Drama scholarship

• enable students to present their learning in an appropriate scholarly form

• develop students' research skills in investigation, analysis, criticism and theorising

On completion of this topic students will be able to demonstrate:

• in-depth knowledge of a topic in Drama

• an awareness of relevant scholarship in Drama, including its methodologies, theories and debates

• appropriate research skills in investigation, analysis, criticism and theorising

• an ability to present learning in an appropriate scholarly form
