Topic description
This topic explores advanced issues in English literature research. Students will be required to present on a range of research areas in English, and the creative arts, and respond to presentations by other students, and staff.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- deepen students' understanding of contemporary English literature research
- develop students' critical reasoning skills
- develop students' oral and written presentation skills
- prepare students for the completion of their Honours thesis
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability to apply their knowledge and understanding of research principles, in relation to one or more contemporary areas of research in English literature
- demonstrate the ability to apply critical reasoning skills
- present their ideas, and research, both verbally and in writing
