Topic description
In this topic students will take a basic project from conception to completion. Through this, students will acquire a broad understanding of digital pipeline and production processes, how these concepts are applied, and how various digital media roles operate within a pipeline.
Educational aims
This topic aims to

  • provide students with an area of specialisation for their artistic practice, while building a base level of practical skills
  • provide the opportunity for students to undertake a creative project, at an introductory level
  • develop students’ understanding of the role of a creative artist
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to

  • identify core artistic movements in terms of understanding use of light, shade and colour
  • articulate and represent the basic principles of anatomy and human movement
  • connect historical precedence to current work
  • apply traditional materials and practices
