Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- provide students with an understanding of the role of events in the tourism industry
- outline the principles of event design and best event management practices
- examine the role of culture and community in the staging of festivals and events
- research and evaluate a range of festival and event designs
- provide students with the knowledge and skills required to design, implement and evaluate a range of event strategies
