Women's Studies (Honours)
Topic description
This topic will give students the opportunity to engage in an intensive study in a specialist area under the supervision of a member of staff teaching with the objective of producing a research paper.
Educational aims
The aims of this topic are to:
- enable students to focus on an area of speciality within Women's Studies
- offer the opportunity to work independently under the supervision of an academic member of staff
- improve research skills
Expected learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this topic will have:
- demonstrated a capacity to work independently
- gained familiarity with a specialised area of Women's Studies
- demonstrate advanced research and writing skills
